Spatial Analysis

Multi-criteria evaluation: A process in which multiple layers are aggregated to get a single suitability output map.

Weighted linear combination (WLC) method of MCE: Wherein continuous criteria (factors) are standardized to a common numeric range, and then combined by means of a weighted average. The result is a continuous mapping of suitability that may then be masked by one or more Boolean constraints to accommodate qualitative criteria, and eventually thresholded to yield a final decision.

School_FTN_DistanceFuzz

Suitable travel distance from school location should be less than 20 minutes. (50GCE=5mins)

DT_FTN_DistanceFuzz

Suitable travel distance from school location should be less than 20 minutes. (50GCE=5mins)

School_walk_DistanceFuzz

Walking distance between 3 mins to 5 mins considered as suitable; more than 10mins considered as not suitable.

Skytrain_DistanceFuzz

Suitable residential location should be at least 100m away from skytrain line to minimize the noise, idealy should be within 500m to 800m.

Apt_TownhouseFuzz

Apartments and Townhouse residential type tend to be more favourable for renting

MoreImmigrationFuzz

More immigration areas are generally attractive to new commers
